What's included in the price

  • Solar panels, sized to your roof and your electricity use
  • A hybrid inverter to run the panels and the battery
  • Battery storage to keep your solar power for the evening
  • Fitting by our own installation team, usually in one to two days
  • Grid notification to Electricity North West (G98 or G99)
  • App set-up and a walk-through of your system
  • 25-year guarantee on panels and 10-year guarantee on batteries

What changes the price

  • Roof size, shape and direction: more usable roof means more panels
  • How much electricity you use, especially with an electric car or heat pump
  • Battery size: bigger batteries store more of your solar and more cheap overnight power
  • Whether your fuse board needs updating to take the new system
  • Access, such as three-storey houses or difficult roofs

Is a battery worth the extra cost?

For most homes, yes. Without a battery, much of your solar power goes back to the grid for a low export rate while you're out, and you buy electricity back at full price in the evening. A battery keeps that power for when you need it, and in winter it can charge on a cheap overnight tariff. Up to 73% savings have been achieved with batteries alone.

VAT on solar panels

Solar panels and batteries installed in homes currently have 0% VAT, due to run until 31 March 2027. Our home prices already reflect this.

How much could you save?

In Greater Manchester, a south-facing system typically generates around 850kWh a year for every kW of panels. What that's worth depends on how much you use at home, your tariff and your export rate. Our solar calculator gives an indicative price, yearly saving and payback for your home in under a minute.

Commercial solar prices

Business systems are priced per site, from your roof, your half-hourly usage and your grid connection. Commercial customers can reduce electricity bills by up to 60%, with payback typically in 3 to 6 years. Book a free site assessment for a full design and savings model.
