What we collect
When you use our forms or calculator, or contact us, we may collect:
- Your name, email address and phone number
- Your postcode and details about your property (for example property type, bedrooms and roof orientation)
- Details about your energy use and the products you're interested in
- For business enquiries: your organisation, role, site details and energy usage
- For referrals: the name and contact details of the person you're referring
- Anything else you choose to tell us in a message
If you use the savings calculator without submitting the quote form, the figures you enter stay in your browser and are not sent to us. If you do request a quote from the calculator, your calculator inputs and results are sent with your enquiry.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and give you advice and quotations
- To arrange surveys, assessments and installations
- To contact someone you've referred (only where you've confirmed they agreed)
- To keep records of our work and meet our legal obligations
- To protect the website from spam and misuse
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for marketing emails unless you've asked us to.
Our lawful basis
We process your details to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and for our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and running our business. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run this website and deal with enquiries:
- Our website hosting provider (GoDaddy), which also delivers form submissions to us by email
- Google Fonts, which supplies the lettering used on this website
Where needed to carry out your installation, we may also share relevant details with equipment manufacturers (for guarantee registration), your electricity network operator (for grid notifications) and certification bodies such as MCS.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't go ahead: we keep your details for up to 2 years from your last contact with us, then delete them.
- Customers: we keep installation records, including your contact details, system details and paperwork, for as long as the guarantees on your system last plus 6 years. This lets us support your system, deal with guarantee claims and meet our legal and tax obligations.
- Referrals: details of someone you've referred are kept for up to 12 months if they don't go ahead.
Your rights
You have the right to access your personal information, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details above.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
